Child Amputee Gets Unexpected Gift During Ride2Recovery

Fort Hood, TX--Meadows Elementary Student, Diego and his class cheer for cyclists in the Ride2Recovery Challenges outside of their school in Fort Hood. This was Diego's second time watching the riders pass his school and this year he came prepared in his own military uniform. As the riders prepare to turn, they notice Diego quickly catches the attention of the riders. Nearly all of the cyclists come to a standstill as they realize that young Diego is wearing a prosthetic. One cyclist, and former US Army Soldier stops to present Diego with a memorial bracelet in honor of a fallen Ride2Recovery cyclist.
